Short Tail Possum Complete & More has been formulated to provide a healthy chicken and insect-based protein source for your Possum (what we call them in the country) with the guidance and advice of a PhD in animal nutrition. The high ratio of calcium in the insects (BSFL) helps to prevent calcium deficiencies. Dried natural apple, blueberries, cranberries, and papaya are added as fruit sources. Great for my little Short Tail Possums and larger Possums too. Don't forget to get Short Tail Possum Booster (MultiVitamin) while you are getting food. Feeding Recommendation: Offer daily as a staple diet. Supplement the diet with high-calcium vegetables (leafy greens, squash, sweet potato) and occasional protein sources such as insects, fish (with bones), eggs (with shell), or chicken. Adjust the amount fed to ensure optimum body weight. Always provide clean, fresh drinking water.
Possums are one of the world's most variably sized mammals, therefore feeding recommendations vary. Possums have a large appetite and a slow metabolism. If feeding free choice, carefully monitor their food intake while encouraging activity.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (under 72 °F). Refrigeration is highly recommended to retain full nutritional value. Store bag sealed, in an air-tight container free from pests and insects. Do not frequently expose food to a freeze/thaw cycle. If storing for longer than 8 weeks, refrigerate (up to 6 months). If storing for longer than 6 months, freeze (up to 12 months).
